What does DeSite SLG 78VF- RB actually represent ??????
DeSite is the brand name of our screening machines.
SLG represent the DeSite product model.
78 relates to the maximum width of bucket to feed the screener.
V tells you that the screener is fitted with a eccentric vibratory pack.
F represents the Feed Deflection System that regulates material flow.
RB is the 18 inch Riser Box that that elevates the screener for big machines.
The SLG screener weighs in at 2000 lbs when off the Riser Box and increases to 2400 lbs when attached and up on the Riser Box.
Moving the Screener
Moving the SLG 78VF screener whether on or off the riser box is quick and easy. In the video above you will see the forklift coming up to the screener and inserting the fork through the 3 ½ x 7 ½ inch fork pockets designed into the SLG 78VF structure frame. Once the forks are in you then can see the forklift pick up the screener for transport to another location.
Screener Investment Depreciation
The video above details machine depreciation and profitability. Screening machines depreciate at a rate of 15 to 20% each year. When calculating profitability you must not only calculate the monthly payment but it is also important factor in annual machine depreciation. For example, a machine that costs 100k will depreciate 20k the first year, so not only do you have to generate enough revenue with the screener to cover 12 payments each year, but you also must earn an extra 20K to cover the depreciation.
DeSite is the absolute winner when it comes to best in value and minimizing depreciation. Using the SLG 78VF with Riser Box included as an example with a price of $7500, the depreciation is only about $1500 per year versus $20,000 on a $100,000 screener.
If your screener needs can be met with hourly production from 15 to 30 yards each hour then a DeSite SLG screener will generate the best profitability for the investment.
Simple, Efficient and Cost Effective are all words that apply to SLG screeners.
We offer a 25ft (10 gauge) cord that is twist lock on one end and three pronged on the other end. Each end is vulcanized to seal out the weather.
The SLG 78VF is a plug and run screener that uses only 10 amps on start up and 5.5 amps when running. The simpler the better means low operating costs and less downtime.
The SLG 78VF requires a 3500 watt generator or land power with a 20 amp service.
When using a generator and a good quality 10 gauge cord as the power source, you can be 100 ft from the screener away from all the dirt and dust.
Extra Wide Screen Deck
DeSite screeners may be compact in foot print, but big on screen deck size. SLG screener designs have pushed the limits on screen deck width to within a fraction of an inch of the structure sides. When then designed in rubber skirts that create a seal from the unscreened material and the finished product. The end effect is a screener that is as wide if not wider than the bucket feeding the screener for bigger screener output.
The above video details the purpose and benefits of our feed deflection design found only on DeSite SLG screeners.
Having the ability to guide flow is very important when you want to have maximum use of the entire screen deck. The feed deflector on an SLG 78VF screener catches material falling from the bucket and funnels it to the top of the screen deck to begin the screening process. Without a deflection structure on a screener material can land over half way down the deck missing over 50% of the screening area.
The SLG Feed Deflector has also be engineered to open up to allow oversize material to pass under the feeder and over the screen deck. The deflector pivots from the bottom and is connected to the top of the screen deck with two adjustable 5/16 chains positioned on side of the screen deck. This allows the operator with the feeding machines bucket to push down on the deck, pulling the deflector back into a closed position.
3600 RPM Vibratory System
The vibratory system on the 78VF is centered and mounted to the underside of the screen deck where it is most effective. The vibratory mounting plate is laser cut, formed from two pieces of ¼ inch plate that is laminated and plug and stick weld together into ½ inch for combined plate thickness. The structure not only acts as the vibratory mounting base but also as the motor guard, protecting it from falling dirt and rocks. The eccentric vibratory from the 3600 rpm vibratory pack begins in the center of the screen deck and then resonates outwards to where the side tensioned mesh is secured by the mesh clamps. We use four wire steel braided hose as the conduit for the motor wire to travel from the control box to the eccentric motor.
The eccentrics and motor covers have oil ring gaskets to seal the any dirt and weather from the inner components. The main control box internal components are also sealed away from the element with an oil ring gasket.
The above video goes into detail about the new suspension design for the SLG 78-6 series screener. The rugged simplicity of it design is virtually maintenance free with only two grease points. Extruded nylon bushings keep the hardened spring steel coils from making contact with the heavy wall steel tubing the travel up and down as the deck tilts during the screening process.
The SLG Tilting Screen deck Suspension allows the screen deck to flatten to 30 degrees when screening dry material to 45 degrees for screening wet, high moisture materials when screening is more challenging.
Extra Wide Screen Deck, Tilting Screen Deck, Tilt Open Feed Deflector, and the 3600 rpm Vibratory Pack all working together make the 78 VF a must have screening machine for recycling waste back into usable material.
The above video talks about the alignment pockets on the riser box that guides the screener into the correct position. Once on the riser you will need to install the two winches to each side of the screener that are provided in the kit. In the kit, along with the needed winches you find 2 nylon winch straps and all of the bolts for assembling the riser box and the winches.
The Riser Box is constructed from 3 inch steel tubing and weighs about 400lbs.
This video details the front box structure of the 78VF, the screener fork pockets and Bucket Transport Lugs purpose built for the SLG 78VF.
The SLG 78VF can be transported with forks, or with your machines bucket. For added protection when screening blast rock, or crushed concrete we offer an extra ¼ steel plate with pierced holes that match up to holes precut into the screeners structure.
For onsite screener transport using your machines bucket, we offer Bucket Transport Lugs that slide into the provided for fork pockets deigned into the front structure of the screener. Bucket Transport Lugs make the Screener ultra portable and quick to move.
