68 ProScreen Topsoil & Rock Screener

The DeSite 68 ProScreen Topsoil and Rock Screener is the most compact screener we offer. It has been designed for landscapers, tree service companies, and landowners who use compact tractors, mini excavators, and skidsteers and who primarily need to screen and recycle dirt, compost, gravels and sand. The DeSite 68 ProScreen is really the only subcompact vibratory screener on the market designed with a reduced feed height for machines with limited reach. Model 68 ProScreen boasts all the features of our larger electric screeners, including cantilevered suspension, a tilting screen deck, and a 110 volt 4000 rpm vibratory system.

Bucket Width

Each and every year we strive to improve our designs; 2018 is no exception. DeSite’s model 68 ProScreen can now be fed with an even wider bucket. This year’s model accommodates buckets up to 66-inches wide, 6 inches wider than our previous models. The inside box dimension has been increased to 73 inches. When using a 66-inch bucket, there are now 9 inches of extra room, making the screener easier than ever to use.

Machine Weight

 
The big challenge when designing compact screener is to control the machines weight while still building in the structural strength needed for years of service. The new 68 ProScreen design has accomplished just that with an even bigger screen deck. The SLG weighs in a 1475 pounds.

Cantilevered Deck Suspension

 
No sacrifices were made in strength and durability when building in the suspension system for the 68 ProScreen. The 68 ProScreen comes with the same durable coil and leaf spring system put into our 78 ProScreen screening machine. Check out the photos below. See how much control the operator can have over the slope of the screen deck. A steeper deck angle makes material travel faster for better screening of wet materials. A flatter deck slope slows material flow and works best with gravels, sand, and dry soils.

Vibratory System

 
The 68 ProScreen comes with our Dual Eccentric (110 volt) 3600rpm Vibratory Pack, the same vibratory power built into our bigger 78 Pro Screen. The motor and eccentric system is sealed away from the elements and maintenance free. The 68V vibratory pack draws 4 to 5 amps and works off a 15 amp circuit or can be powered with a compact 3500 watt portable generator.

Rubber Screen Deck Skirts

 
We have installed rubber skirts on each side of the 68 ProScreen screen deck. The skirts are there to catch stray material falling from the bucket that might miss the deck. We have made the skirts of rubber to bend and flex in case hit by the bucket.

Another new feature you will find on the 68 ProScreen for 2018 is our 8 inch wide feeder plate. The benefit of the feeder plate is to increase efficiency and to make the screener easier to feed. The feeder plate allows the operator to use 100% of the screen deck when feeding the screener
