The SLG 108 is our big dog screener, designed to be fed with up to a 9ft 3 yard bucket. The SLG 108 has a 6ft x 10ft screen deck that will screen from 30 to 60 yards per hour depending upon mesh size material and moisture levels. It is powered by dual 110 volt (3600rpm) vibratory packs. It is not only our biggest screener but also our most versatile vibratory screening machine. The SLG 108, off the riser can be fed with bucket tractors, compact excavators and skid steers. When up on the riser box the SLG 108 becomes the 108 designed to be fed with full size excavators, backhoes and wheel loaders. We offer more than a dozen mesh sizes from 1/8 inch to 4 inches for screening everything from sand to soil, compost, gravel rock, recycled asphalt and crushed concrete.
Just like our other models the SLG 108 offers features only found in DeSite designs. Our Tilting screen deck, feed deflector, cantilevered suspension, and quick disconnect riser box makes DeSite screeners the most cost effective and cost efficient screening machines on the market.
Tilting Screen Deck
An operators ability to manipulate screen deck slope while screening increases efficiency and will produce more production each hour. The SLG 108 can adjust to varying positions for varying materials with varying moisture levels. The 108 performs well in all soil conditions: wet, dry, sandy, rocky and even frozen soil. To slow material flow the operator needs only to flatten deck slope with the bucket while feeding the screener. Leaving the screener at a steeper slope allows material to travel faster for screening high moisture materials. You will only find this high efficiency feature on a DeSite screening machine.
Cantilevered Screen Deck Suspension
Another feature only found on DeSite SLG screeners is our cantilevered suspension system that allows the deck to pivot from 45 degrees for high moisture material all the way back to 30 degrees for sand and soils with low moisture. Only on a DeSite SLG screener does the operator have the ability to flatten the screen deck with the machines bucket while feeding the screener. The cantilevered suspension gives the operator maximum control over the screening process. Having only four grease points the SLG 108 means more time is spent screening and less time is spent on maintenance.
Grab and Go Portability
The SLG 108 can be moved around the worksite easily with either forks or with our Bucket Transport Lugs and your machines bucket. Conventional screeners with wheels, axles, and hitches actually can restrict accessibility and portability. The compact design of our SLG 108’s allows our screeners to work in a areas with very limited room and access.
Low Maintenance
The simplicity of our designs keep operational costs to a minimum. The 108 with only 4 grease points requiring service just once a day means more time screening and less down time servicing. Changing out the screen mesh to a different size only takes about 40 minutes. The screen deck pivots on springs coils, and UHMW nylon bushings needing no maintenance or service.Accessories
Bucket Transport Lugs
For moving the SLG 108 around onsite our Bucket Transport Lugs will saves time and the need for having pallet forks onsite. The lugs slide directly into the fork pockets with a retention hole to lock them in place. Once installed you will have the ability to pick up the screener with your bucket and move the screener quickly. No hitch, no wheels, no wiring, and no digging.
Quick Change Riser Box
The SLG 108 Riser Box is 28 inches tall, 10ft wide with a weight of 750lbs. When on the Riser Box the 108 works efficiently with larger machines like full size excavators, backhoes and wheel loaders. When off the Riser Box the 108 feed height is reduced to 8ft for efficient feeding with skidsteers, compact excavators, and bucket tractors. The 108 screener attaches to the riser with four 4” nylon straps on each corner. Securing 108 to the Rise Box takes less than 5 minutes.
Transport
The SLG 108 is just over 10ft tall, 6ft deep, and 10ft wide. The SLG 108 weighs in at 5000lbs and be picked up and moved with forks or a bucket. The SLG 108 can be easily transported with a bumper pull or goose neck trailer from site to site.Affordability
